The Amazon Echo Studio is an incredible speaker for its size and price. If you don’t mind a lack of portability, then the Amazon Echo Studio is far more capable than anything else in the Echo lineup and sounds considerably better than any other smart speaker we have heard till date. Echo studio is capable of supporting Dolby Atmos and playing 3D formats from MPEG-H. The size, multi-driver setup, as well as the fact that it works well with a Fire TV Stick makes this a pretty great device.

5. Apple HomePod Mini
A giant leap from Apple. Good sound.
Key features:
360 degree audio || Noise cancellation || Excellent bassÂ
Works well as a compact smart speaker and sounds pretty great for something this small. You can use it as a convenient wireless speaker for your laptop, tablet, and other compatible devices.
Buying a second HomePod mini will let you set up a proper stereo smart speaker system at around the same price as that of the larger Apple HomePod, and I quite liked how the speakers sounded on the HomePod mini. Now, if you have Apple products at your home, and are looking for a mini smart speaker that integrates seamlessly with your other Apple devices, the HomePod mini is probably your best choice.

6. Google Nest Hub Max
A worthy competitor to Echo show.
Key features :
7 inch touchscreen display || Full Range speaker || Chromecast and Google Assistant built-in || Bluetooth 5.0 || Netflix
Google Nest Hub Max is much more powerful than the Google Nest hub, and deserves more fine-grain control. Google Nest Hub Max has few issues at launch. Nest platform support is not quite there yet, and the volume control needs an update to make up for the extra power on offer. Screen resolution is slightly low too, though the introduction of Netflix support is a great addition. All in all, the Google Nest Hub Max is still not just a great smart display but a great smart speaker. Stay entertained all day when you use this device.

9. Apple HomePod
Known for its big sound but works well only in the Apple Ecosystem.
Key features :
High woofer range || Array of seven horn loaded tweeters || Ambient audio beamforming || 8.0211ac WiFi with MIMO
Apple HomePod offers multi-room speaker support with AirPlay 2 and comes with a six-microphone array for far-field Siri, Internal bass-EQ Microphone, and high-excursion woofer with custom amplifier. We have an array of seven horn-loaded tweeters, each with its own custom amplifier and Internal low-frequency calibration microphone for automatic bass correction. There is also direct guest access, Bluetooth 5.0 Connectivity, 802.11ac Wi-Fi with MIMO Connectivity, and many more features. However, Apple HomePod is not for you if you want to break out of the Apple ecosystem. The speaker is not so smart and is cranky with non-Apple products. We also do not have bluetooth streaming. In fact, we suggest you go for a much improved Apple HomePod mini.

10. Bose Home Speaker 500
Outstanding Microphones and Audio. Never misses a sound.
Key features :
Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant || Full-color LED screen || No battery || AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Bluetooth 4.2, 3.5mm jack Aux input
Bose Home Speaker 500 offers one of the best sound quality and has a very sophisticated design. Sound is very steady and even at high frequencies you can hear the audio clearly. No distortion at high volumes as well. The device can be set up using Bose Music App, but for starting the smart assistant, you will need the Alexa app. You can pair your device to this home speaker to stream your favorite music and more via a Bluetooth connection, home Wi-Fi network, Apple AirPlay 2, or Spotify Connect. Although the smart speaker has a screen, the content that can be viewed is limited. You cannot watch any content. It gives notifications and messages. Price is on the higher side, and buying this model boils down to Sound/Design vs Price trade off.Â
