The Motorola Moto 360 is the 3rd gen smartwatch from the original Moto 360 launched in 2015. The design and internal specs are updated from the original version. However, the design is still quite base and bulky, not suitable if you are looking for a classy timepiece to track your fitness and health goals. The smartwatch was actually not made by Motorola, it has been designed in collaboration with eBuyNow, under a licensing agreement with Motorola. You will not find many advanced smartwatch features in this model, and the design is also not great.Â
The Motorola Smartwatches in India with reasonable Prices have been popular among users. However, Moto 360 3rd Gen’s price in India is quite high, and unreasonable if you take the features from other competitors into account. Check out Moto 360 Gen 3 Review.Â

Moto 360 Gen 3 Review:
Motorola Moto 360 Smartwatch Features: Screen and Build Quality
Design
There is almost no similarity in terms of design with the Moto 360 predecessors launched in 2014 and 2014. Technically it is not a Motorola smartwatch as it has been launched by eBuyNow in-licensing agreement with Motorola. The watch has a 42 mm stainless steel durable casing, 11.68 mm thick. It looks bulky when worn on the wrist and seems to be for men mostly. The watch comes with one silicone and a leather strap that is easy to replace and change. You will find 2 buttons on the side of the watch, (A signature of Motorola smartwatches) where you can add shortcuts to the apps used frequently. The band is comfortable for heavy and long hours of workout. However, the overall design is very plain, and there is not much uniqueness to look forward to. The Moto 360 is water-resistant to up to 30 meters but is not suitable for open-water swims.
Display
The bright AMOLED display enables the user to view the screen functionalities clearly in ambient light. The display of 390*390 pixels with 327 PPI density shows a clear screen. The display size of 1.3-inch is also unquestionably fine. You can switch to its always-on mode if you wish your smartwatch screen to show certain functionalities for as long as you wear it. The touch responsiveness of the Moto 360 3rd generation smartwatch is worth a mention.Â
Battery Life and Battery Mode
The battery life of the 355mAh battery is not great in Moto 360. It lasts only a complete day and not more. With a whole day’s normal use, the battery life goes down to 45%. Even though the smartwatch runs on Qualcomm’s Wear 3100 processor, the battery life is not as good as it could be. If you use all the Wear OS functionalities, you can comfortably last for 1 day on a complete charge. Hence, charging the smartwatch daily is essential for regular use.
Moto 360 Review: Fitness Tracking
One way we can justify the Motorola Moto 360 (3rd Gen) Price, Full Specs with its accurate mapping system. With the help of the Galileo, GLONASS, and Beidou satellite positioning system, the watch assists users with multiple outdoor course mapping. The smartwatch comes with an accelerometer that tracks your indoor runs accurately. The water resistance works up to 30 meters and allows you to take a plunge into the pool, though it is not very suitable for open water swims or swims below 30 meters underwater. You can use the various Wear OS-compatible watches to track your sports activities effectively. Sometimes your smartwatch might piggyback your phone GPS automatically, leading to erroneous data for outdoor runs or any other activity. To avoid this, you can leave your phone behind, but then again, you might face some slowness in picking up signals with the smartwatch GPS. The step-tracking and other fitness features associated with Wear OS are okayish.Â
Moto 360 Gen 3 Review: Health Tracking
Compatible with the Google Wear OS, you can use the Google Fit app, Google Fit breathe app for de-stressing, and other fitness apps such as Stava effectively as well. The heart rate monitor can track your activity as well as resting heart rate more or less accurately. If you are planning to do light exercises with some of the basic health tracking features, including a heart rate monitor, this can be an okay-buy for you. You can use the Google Fit app to get your heart point and move points for better insights on your workouts.
Moto 360 Review: Smartwatch Features
The Moto 360 smartwatch comes with a microphone, so you can make NFC Google Assistant commands and respond to phone calls and text messages with voice assistance. But, you will not be able to hear responses as the smartwatch does not come with a speaker. It is a space where the manufacturer could have done a better job. With 1 GB RAM and 8 GB storage, you can download and use several Google apps for their functionality.
Moto 360 Gen 3 Review: Motorola 360 Sport Smartwatch Price
If you see the Motorola Moto 360 Sport Price in India and the Full Specifications, you will find that it is not a good value for the money spent. The Motorola Moto 360 Sport Smartwatch price 2021 is around Rs. 19999/ $ 399, which is too pricey considering the features it comes with. The smartwatch comes only with certain basic features, so one would not be able to justify the high pricing.Â
Conclusion
If you are looking for a go-to sports watch, the Moto 360 3rd Gen launched in 2019 is not your best option. The bulky-looking smartwatch might not be the best design to choose from. The battery life of the smartwatch is not great either, you need to charge it daily for using the functionalities continuously. The heart rate monitor and the step calculator are more or less accurate, but you might not find advanced health tracking features such as SpO2 monitor, ECG, etc. If you are attracted to the smartwatch for its design, go for it. Otherwise, you will find several better options in the same price range from Fossil watches, Garmin, or Apple.
